The Languages of Love: Mother’s Day Ideas for Everyone in Moncton

Mother’s Day is a celebration honoring the mother of the family, the strength of the maternal bond and the influence of mothers in society. Wee College campuses look forward to their annual Mother’s Day events and will be hosting celebrations on May 9 and May 10, 2019.

Author, speaker, and counselor, Dr. Gary Chapman, says there are ‘5 Languages of Love’, five ways in which we give and receive love:

1. Words of Affirmation
2. Quality Time
3. Receiving Gifts
4. Acts of Service

Do you recognize which of these languages speaks strongly to how you like to give or receive love?

Do you know which one of these your mother responds more to?

If you are a mother, do you recognize which of these languages your child responds more favorably to?

Everyone gives and receives love differently, but with a little thought and insight into these differences, we can be successful in demonstrating our love for one another.

This Mother’s Day put some thought into what language your mom speaks, the mother of your child(ren) speaks, and what language your child(ren) speak.
