Outstanding Employee Award Winner Announcement

Over the last several months Wee College Corporate office has presented awards to 36 individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their positions at Wee College campuses.

It has been an honor to recognize the recipients’ contributions to children, families, their campus team, and their profession of early learning.

The awards presented touched on various core principles including leadership, imagination, resourcefulness, goal orientation, professionalism, mentorship.

The recipients were nominated by their colleagues because they are leaders and role models in their campus and represent our best. We are grateful to this group of educators and directors who are having such a positive impact on those around them.

The thirty six recipients were recently presented with the opportunity to apply for one grand cash prize of $5000, to be awarded by founder Melody Munro. Applications were reviewed and the winner picked by an impartial and outside committee. The committee members were representatives of government, industry leaders, and local businesses, all familiar with our Wee College brand.

It was shared by all members that it was a difficult decision to narrow it down to one. The feedback we received from the committee, resulted in the decision to recognize not one but two individuals. Their thoughts, goals, and stories of the children and their learning truly touched the committee.

Wee College is pleased to announce that Rhonda McPhee, a Wee College educator of 17 years, is being awarded $5000.
We are equally pleased to award $2000 to Tanya Dunlop, also a Wee College educator of 17 years.
Operating since 2005, our Wee College Trites campus families and children have been blessed to have these two phenomenal educators. A sentiment shared by owners, Michaela and Jeff Walsh.

Wee College’s core belief is that children need to experience, parents empower, and teachers inspire.
