March 1, 2016Wee College Graduation – June 2015
Do you remember what you wanted to be when you were a kid? Do you remember the excitement your imagination could generate as you envisioned yourself in the role of superhero, champion, or star?
It’s “graduation” time at Wee College. Whether you’re moving off to “Big School” or moving up to the next age grouping, it’s a time of change, transition and reflection.
Kristal Hooton, Kara Spencer and Monica Maillet are Wee College Imagineers with the Senior Preschool class at our Church Street Campus. Recently, they asked their imaginative group of three and four-year olds, “What do you want to be when you grow up”? Their answers reflected their hopes and dreams. But they also echoed wisdom that is timeless and universal.
Here are the wholesome ambitions of a generation still too pure and principled to be influenced by greed, envy, pride or ego. They aspire to greatness, and remind us of the simplicity, innocence, and wonder of youth.
